Glamorous Nuts, a 2017 American Saddlebred stallion, is already making an impressive mark on the breed.  Owned and bred by Ghareeb Equine Investments, Glamorous Nuts, or “Vlade,” possesses ideal Saddlebred conformation and a star-studded pedigree. Not only is he by the great sire Undulata’s Nutcracker, but his female line hails from the celebrated Broodmare Hall of Fame family of CH It’s A Beautiful Day (BHF), through Elizabeth Ghareeb’s very special show horse and Broodmare Hall of Fame mare Brookhill’s Glam Slam. Joan Lurie, owner of Willowbank Farm where Vlade stands, believes that there are many things that make him special.  “Glamorous Nuts is the perfect blend of his sire and dam,” she said. “He is gorgeous, gifted and so charismatic. He is Mr. Personality and a true pleasure to work with day to day.” All this beauty and personality was on display during Vlade’s limited but impressive show ring performances. During his very first trip into the ring, he earned a Reserve World’s Championship title in the 2018 ASR Futurity of Kentucky Yearling Open class, and then returned to Louisville the following year to take an impressive top three in the competitive Two-Year-Old Three-Gaited class. “Early on we knew he was very special, and given his pedigree and talent, we wanted to give him the opportunity to impact the ASB world for generations to come,” Elizabeth said.  To that end, she decided to stand him at stud – and Vlade has excelled at that, too. Though he is just beginning his breeding career and his get are still young, he already has five World’s Champion offspring to his credit: 2021 ASHBA National Futurity Weanling In Hand winner Grey Ridge Memorialize; 2022 ASHBA National Futurity Weanling In Hand winner Nougatine; 2022 Yearling Breeders Open winner Mr. Glamorous; 2024 ASHBA National Futurity Weanling In Hand winner A Glamorous Dream; and 2024 ASHBA National Futurity Yearling In Hand Grey Ridge Superman.

Each year Vlade books more and more mares, and Elizabeth is excited about his future.  “Personally, I can’t wait to show one of his offspring, but as his owner I’m most excited to see how he can help shape the next generations of Saddlebreds,” she said. “I enjoy nothing more than hearing from folks that have bred to him that are thrilled with the resulting offspring and their talent and trainability.  This year [2024] I’m most looking forward to watching that first crop of now three-year-olds take to the ring under leather.” Joan believes that Vlade’s breeding career is just getting started.  “The future is so bright for him, and I am grateful to be a part of his journey,” she said.
